Catherine Schinkel
Director, Talent and Culture
Catherine Schinkel, IISD's director of Talent and Culture, has more than 20 years of experience in human resources at the senior level, previously working for international and regional organizations in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Her expertise includes talent acquisition and retention, organizational development, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, internal communications, and employee relations.
In addition to Catherine's bachelor of commerce degree (with a specialization in human resource management and marketing), she has received certificates in compensation, leadership coaching, and conflict resolution. She has also served as a board member for various community and professional organizations and is an instructor in the continuing education human resources programs at Simon Fraser University and the University of Manitoba.
